Transient numerical analysis of charging a heat accumulator in a combined heat and power plant

چکیده
This paper presents a technical description and characteristics of heat accumulation system operation in one the Polish combined power (CHP) plants. The total thermal capacity nonpressure hot water accumulator is 75 MWh. An important issue case tanks stratification caused by difference density between higher-temperature water, located top storage tank colder its bottom. article results numerical analysis based on axial-symmetric model using Ansys Fluent software. Simulations with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method were carried out for process charging lasting 10 hours. compared measurement data from CHP plant.
